The solution at QAUMC required
three different materials for a complete solution. The speaker system
located in the architectural feature above was reflecting off of the
scalloped ceiling. By using 2" thick banners around the speaker
cluster we were able to control the reflection and reduce the reverberant
time of the room. Poly-cylindrical diffuser/bass traps were employed
behind the sound booth to balance the tonality of the room and improve the
sound at the mix position. 72 sq ft of 1" thick wall panels were
installed on two walls to further control reflection and reduce the
reverberant energy in the room. The layout of the panels and color of
cloth were developed in conjunction with the architect for best visual
presentation. |
